Nécrologie de Kathrine Anne Walton

Kathrine (Kathy) died peacefully at the age of 77, at the Montfort Hospital with her daughter by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, William Isaac Walton and Elsie Alice Ledger, her brother Bill Walton and sister-in-law Joan and brothers-in-law Norman Lulham and Francis Joyce and her loving husband John Poole. She is survived by her sister June Joyce (Sweeney Walton). She was the loving mother of Gail Grant (Aaron Birch) and cherished grandmother of Louis Birch. She will also be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Kathrine grew up in Longeuil, Quebec and lived in Montreal. She worked for many years at McGill University before her retirement. Kathrine loved music and dancing and she was continually involved with different types of dancing groups over the years. She also loved animals, especially cats. The family would like to thank the health care workers at the Montfort Hospital during her brief illness and the staff at the Residence Saint-Louis for her care over the last 2 years. In lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinson Canada would be greatly appreciated. Due to the current situation, the memorial service will take place at a later time.
