Nécrologie de Guy Boivin

Passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Friday, April 7, 2017 at the age of 64. Guy was a loving husband to his wife Judy and a proud father to his children Patrick, Mariève and Alexandre. He will be sadly missed by his siblings Michelle, Pierre (Susan), Suzanne (René), Rachel, Denis (Diane) and Dominique, his nephews Philippe and Stéphane, his niece Sarah, and his extended family and many friends. Guy is predeceased by his parents Roger and Paulette and his brother François. Guy enjoyed his many years of teaching in the post-secondary system, playing tennis and jamming with his good friends. He was well known for his huge bear hugs, his wonderful sense of humour and his love for Chateauneuf-Du-Pape. The family would like to thank Dr. Neil Reaume, Carole Filion-Brulotte, the ICU and the 5th floor Oncology staff at The Ottawa Hospital General Campus for their incredible professionalism, support and care during Guy’s illness. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Trim Rd., Orléans. A celebration of Guy’s life will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 1 p.m. in the Heritage Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Foundation.
