Passed away peacefully on Monday June 5, 2017 with family at her side in her 85th year. Beloved sister survived by Norma Postlethwaite (Jim) and Freda Anthony. Predeceased by siblings Ross and Gord Anthony, Frances Burton (Bill). Cherished aunt of Michelle and Jaye Poirier (Jeremy). Lyle also leaves family in Sydney, Cape Breton who remember her fondly including nieces and nephews Dawn and Gordon Burton (Ann), Marie Murrin (Dana), Bob (Kim), Blaine (Debbie) and Brian Anthony, Kevin (Sharon), Raylene (Lowell), Sheldon (Mabel). Predeceased by Bradley (Sandra) and Richard Postlethwaite. Dear friend and lifelong pen pal Yvonne Pertus. Lyle was born in Sydney Cape Breton to Frank Anthony and Grace Hardy in 1932. Following the death of her parents, Lyle came to live with her younger sister Freda and helped raise her daughters and their children Rhiannon Poirier and Ashton and Benjamin Heaps. Lyle leaves behind a long legacy of friendship and family and will be missed dearly. Although a celebration of Lyle’s life will follow at a later date, the family recommends putting a pot of tea on and sharing the many stories of how Lyle has touched all our lives.
