Nécrologie de Bernie (Blake) Cockburn

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday evening January 10, 2019, at the age of 80. Loving sweetie to his partner Antoinette. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Etheleen (Tiny). Proud devoted father of Joanne, Cathy (Ken) and Dan (Lisa) and much loved and cherished grandfather to Matthew (Shelley), Joshua (Julie) and Spencer, and great-grandchildren Charlee, Daxeena and Jack. Predeceased by his brother Colin and sister Jean and parents Ross and Margaret.  Bernie is also survived by many in-laws, nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed and will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. A deep heartfelt loss will be felt throughout the entire ringette community. His love for the game was never ending. We wish to extend our thanks to the staff and physicians in the ICU at the Civic Campus of The Ottawa Hospital for his loving tender care. Friends may pay their respects at Heritage Funeral Complex (1250 Trim Rd., Orleans, ON), on Friday, January 18, 2019. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., immediately followed by a Celebration of his Life with Words of Remembrance.
